Terms of Service

CraftBuild provides estimating, bidding, and job-management tools for residential general contractors. The Service is in beta: features may change, be added, or be removed, and some may not always work as expected.

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your sign-in credentials confidential
• All activity that happens under your account
• Making sure the information you give us is accurate and current

Company owners and administrators control who can access their company's projects and data, including people they invite, such as team members, subcontractors, and clients.

You own the content you and your team put into the Service, such as projects, estimates, invoices, documents, and photos. You give us a limited license to host, store, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate and improve the Service for you, including sending it to the people you choose to share it with.

You confirm that you have the rights to the content you upload and that it does not violate these terms or any law.

Some features use AI to analyze documents or suggest quantities, prices, and other values. These suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing them before relying on them in an estimate, proposal, invoice, or any other business decision.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in a way that violates any law or regulation
• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or company
• Try to access accounts, companies, projects, or systems you are not authorized to use
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or reverse engineer it
• Harvest email addresses or other contact information of other users

The Service is currently free during the beta. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance, and you will not be charged unless you choose a paid plan.

The Service relies on third parties, including Amazon Web Services for hosting and Google for optional sign-in. Your use of those features may also be subject to their terms, such as AWS's Service Terms. See our Privacy Policy for how information is shared with them.

The Service, including its software, design, and content (other than your content), is owned by CraftBuild and its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not use our name, logo, or trademarks without our prior written consent.

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms or uses the Service in a way that could harm other users or us. If your account is closed, you can contact us about getting a copy of your company's data.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CraftBuild and its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, any content or conduct of third parties on the Service, or unauthorized access to or alteration of your content.

These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms is not a waiver of that right.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. For significant changes, we will also let you know by email or in the Service. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
